Tesco Dental Insurance
Tesco Personal Finance offers two levels of dental insurance: Core and Premium. They have arranged their plans in a simple, straight-forward way as you might have come to expect from Tesco. The Core plan covers NHS dental care and the Premium plan covers private dental care. You can also choose NHS treatment with the Premium plan if you so wish. Both plans cover you for worldwide injury and emergency benefits.

The Core Plan, for NHS dental care
The Core plan covers:
- 100% reinbursment of all NHS dental appointments and courses of treatment in the UK
- Worldwide dental emergency cover, up to £400 per year (up to £200 per incident, NHS or private)
- Worldwide dental injury, up to £10,000 per year (up to £2,500 per incident, NHS or private)
- £60 per night in an NHS hospital
- Treatment of mouth cancer up to £12,000 (including smokers)
Core plans start at £8.95 per month.
The Premium plan, for Private and/or NHS care
The Premium plan covers:
- 100% of maintenance costs, such as check-ups, x-rays and hygienist — to maximum annual value of £200, NHS or private.
- 80% of general dental treatment costs, such as fillings, crowns and bridges — to annual value of £2,000, when treated privately
- Worldwide dental emergency up to £400 per year (up to £200 per incident), NHS or private
- Worldwide dental injury up to £10,000 per year (up to £2,500 per incident), NHS or private
- £60 per night in an NHS hospital
- Treatment of mouth cancer up to £12,000 (including smokers)
Premium plans start at £16.95 per month.
