DenPlan provide membership to dental plans with mandatory supplemental insurance included. That means you receive various dental health care services depending on the plan you choose. It also means you will have to use a Denplan dentist. You will get ’supplementary insurance’ with them, whichever dental plan you choose.

What the supplementary insurance covers

You’ll be covered worldwide in the event of an emergency as follows:

• Permanent treatment following a dental injury (up to £10,000 per incident)
• Temporary emergency dental treatment when in the UK (up to £400 per incident. Total limit payable £800 per calendar year)
• Temporary emergency dental treatment when overseas (up to £400 per incident. Total limit payable £800 per calendar year)

In cases where hospital treatment is required you will receive £60 for every night spent in hospital under the care of a dental or oral/maxillo-facial consultant for treatment to head and neck. In the event of mouth cancer you will receive up to £12,000 towards treatment costs for up to 18 months following positive diagnosis. Smokers are not excluded from this cover.

Denplan Dental Plans

Denplan offer ‘Denplan Care’, Denplan Essentials’ and Plans for Children. They also offer additional insurance for dental implants. In order to get an accurate price for your Denplan dental plan you will need to be examined by a Denplan dentist. However here are guideline prices:

• Denplan Care: average fee £17.00 per month
• Denplan Essentials: average fee £10.00 per month
• Plans for Children: from £2.00 per month
